How You Can Differentiate A Pedigree Red Persian Cat

Unless we put the Persian cats into particular category it will be impossible to recognize them as in recent times they are coming with a blend of different color coats.

The Persian cat families have been further separated into groups according to the color of their coats to make it easy for people to recognize them. For example you will find Silver Shadowed, Golden Shadowed, Cameo Shaded and also Red Persian cats.

The majority of the Persian cats are white with usually layers of different colors on just the tips of the coat which is technically known as ticking. But since there is a lot of mixed breeding the coats of the cats can develop into totally different colors like blue-cream.

Again unlike the albino white cats which are hard to find you will see a color that has evolved in Persian cats is red which is quite similar to that of ordinary red cats. The red color has various shades to it and it is not at all pure red that you may visualize, rather it is orange or ginger which also may vary. As a result the cats can have a ticking of white or brown or could be completely red. Most Persian cats of red variety are red all over.

The coat, lips and chin of the red Persians are red. You will discover that the nose leather and the paw pads are brick red while eyes have brilliant copper shade which is totally unlike the Silver Shaded or Chinchillas which have green or blue green eyes. The gorgeous black rims around the eyes will give an impression that they are wearing eye makeup which is common in all Persian be it Silver Shaded, Chinchillas or Red cats.

You would notice that red colors can occur with patches of different colors like cream, white and cameo as well. Let us take the Smoke Tortoiseshell Persian that has a layer of white under coat and deep black tips which stand out conspicuously with random patches of red and cream on the tips too which makes it look like a tortoiseshell.

Along with the fascinating patterns that occurs in this breed of Persian cat, there is sometimes present the blaze of red color or cream tipping on the face which is liked by many people.

You will find that most of the breeds of Persian cats like Shaded, Golden Shaded or Chinchilla have eyes shaded green or blue green. Only the Tortoiseshell Persian cat and the Red colored cat families have eyes that are of brilliant copper colored.

The Red Persian cat tends to be fluffier as well, and has a large mane, but the same squat legs and stocky physic along with the punched face and darkened rimmed eyes. Its chin and lips tend to be of the same color as its coat.
